What is the Naluri Mental Health Assessment?

The Naluri Mental Health Assessment is a simple self-evaluation that will empower you to better understand and improve your mental health by measuring symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout. Naluri utilises the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) as well as the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT-12) to administer the assessment.

The DASS-21 is a standardised questionnaire consisting of 21 items that will help you measure symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. The BAT-12 consists of 12 items that will allow you to assess for symptoms of burnout. These tools are not meant for diagnosis. You will be asked some demographic questions that may allow Naluri to understand the factors in your life that may be affecting your mental health.

You will be provided with free resources at the end of the assessment, but are also encouraged to share your results with a mental health professional for a better understanding.

Questions? We've got answers.

What is the Naluri Mental Health Assessment?

The Naluri Mental Health Assessment is a simple self-evaluation that utilises the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) as well as the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT-12). The assessment also includes additional questions about yourself that can help Naluri understand the factors in your life that may be affecting your mental health.

What are the DASS-21 and BAT-12?

The DASS-21 is a standardised questionnaire consisting of 21 items that measures the psychological dimensions of depression, anxiety, and stress separately, and provides insights on general psychological distress. The BAT-12 consists of 12 items that will allow you to assess for symptoms of burnout. It does not measure causes or consequences of burnout.

Please note that the results from DASS-21 and BAT-12 assessments do not constitute a clinical diagnosis nor replace a formal assessment by a health professional or medical doctor.

Can I use the assessment to diagnose any mental health conditions?

The DASS-21 and BAT-12 are screening tools and not diagnostic tools. In other words, high scores on this test are an indicator that you are most likely experiencing a poor quality of life and emotional disturbances. However, this test does not provide a diagnosis of mental health disorders nor help discover the underlying causes of these emotional states.

What can I expect from the assessment? What should I do with my results?

Mental health assessments can help you evaluate your state of mind and identify risk factors that may need attention. After answering the questions, you will be provided with a breakdown of your results corresponding to your levels of depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout.

You will also receive different resources that you can engage with, ranging from self-help resources to one-on-one care, all designed to help you understand your symptoms and improve your mental health.

Use your results as the basis for exploring your support options. You are encouraged to discuss your results with a medical or mental health professional but it is entirely up to you to do so.

Is the assessment safe and secure? Will the assessment bring any risk or side effects?

There is minimal risk associated with taking the assessment. If you wish to do so, you may exit the assessment at any time without facing any consequences. Your responses in the assessment will not be recorded if you exit the assessment without clicking submit.

The information that you provide will be kept confidential on Naluri's secure server. No personal identifier information will be taken, and all responses collected will be kept confidential to Naluri Hidup and related governing bodies. Only aggregated data on the population level will be shared as results of the research study.

This means that your responses in the assessment will not be traceable to you. However, should you decide to register for Naluri’s digital health program, your results will be shared with Naluri coaches to help them build a personalised health coaching program just for you.

How often should I take the assessment?

The Mental Health Assessment is a self-evaluation that you can take at any time. Naluri recommends regular check-ins to help track fluctuations in emotional well-being over time. It is not unusual for results to vary from time to time; this is not an indicator that the assessment is inaccurate.
